OUR COMMUNITY At Dav-Bar, Ltd. we believe that our company not only has a responsibility to our customers, but to the community as well. That is why Dav-Bar, Ltd. jumped at the chance to participate in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Extreme Makeover is a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take months to achieve, a team of designers, hundred's of workmen and even the neighbors, have just seven days to completely renovate an entire house - every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping for a deserving family nominated by friends and family. We were a part of the team who worked on renovating the community center across the street from where the Riggins family lived. The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Crew also renovated the Riggin's family home. In the end, the community was able to give back what the Riggins family gave to the community. Please view some pictures from the worthwhile event! Dav-Bar, Ltd. gladly participates in the Builders Blitz, a program organized by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. The Home Builders Blitz brought together more than a 1000 professional home builders in 130 communities, to build more than 400 simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with low income families. It is a celebration of hard work, dedication and compassion for all of those who participated in the event.
